IOC on the catwalk for the gala entry of celebrations for transport, Carl Lomas and Dr Tracey Worth stood before the driver of the year stage set ready for an evening to remember.

The Microlise Driver of the Year Awards hosted at the Coventry Arena on the eve of the Microlise conference was full house of five hundred transport guests. An evening of lights, camera action, band, MC and comedian for a feast of transport fun that even had drum rolls. The Awards highlight the most talented logistics drivers working in the UK transport industry and acknowledges their vital work. DPD and Yodel featured strong in the shortlistings for express final mile.

Microlise boss Nadeem Raza opened in the pale green colours of the new Microlise brand logo. With categories based solely on telematics data, and others being nomination-based, the awards are open to all drivers and are a perfect way to reward outstanding performance and industry excellence.

IOC fellow Allison Kemp was there and ready for the opening keynote on compliance for the following day's conference. The bar closes at eleven, the conference starts a seven, don’t be late.
