Founding Fellow - Judy Benn
Judy Benn (Died 13th February 2009) Judy Benn had been working in the industry for over 25 years. Having worked with small, medium and large courier companies she was formerly City Operations Manager for Arrow Express, her last role was with Poste Haste Group and Richard Howard FIoC. Judy held managerial positions within the industry for the last 15 years. Judy was a long time member of the NCA and APC networks which specialises in the inter-trading and overnight courier network Judy was keen on quality which showed in her acheivments of IIP and ISO 9002 for the companies which she had worked for. Arrow express underwent some major changes during 2005: ‘It has not one been one of our best years due to the company having to move, coupled with the fact that we have had staffing issues arising from this upheaval. Our customers have remained loyal however which is very encouraging.’ Judy continued to champion the courier and was very proud of the industry and those who worked in it. A returning judge to the National Courier Awards judging panel for three years she set the standard of recognigtion high. Richard Howard FIoC Chairman of Poste Haste Group comments 'Judy was a true lady'. She will be sadly missed by all who have known her.
