In tradition of the IoC Welcome all Fellows will attend wearing Hoods for the Fellows line up. Dress code for attendees: Business wear. Ladies dress length below the knee.

The House of Lords Christmas Reception. All Members are made welcome to attend the Christmas Drinks Reception and Gowning Ceremony to be held at the Chomondly Room and Terrace at the House of Lords, Westminster London. Thursday 9th December 2010. In tradition of the IoC Welcome all Fellows will attend wearing Gowns. This event invites all members, their colleagues, friends and family's to meet in this special place celebrating the inauguartion of all new members from the previous year. Young members of the family are very welcome to this event.

18.30 Reception followed by Dinner and Awards Ceremony

The National Courier Awards 2010. The date for the next industry awards has been set for Tuesday September 14th, 2010. Viscount Falkland President of IoC will be welcoming guests and opening the evenings event. The venue is the Insitute of Directors, Pall Mall, London. Carl Lomas MBE Chairman of the IoC comments 'The IoC is proud to host the National Courier Awards but we are sensitive to the opinions of those professionals who work in the industry. Companies are being cautious and ensuring that all areas of the business are lean and cost efficient. Companies large and small want to apply their energies to the business in hand and the National Courier Awards will showcase the sucesses at the awards to be held in September 2010'.

New End of Year for 2008 National Courier Awards. Unliky for some and lucky for others the thirteenth year of the awards ceremony will stay in London but fall back to Tuesday 16th September 2008 for an Autumn bash recognising the very best of the best in the same day courier industry. To be held at the IoD Pall Mall, London.

National Courier Awards 2007 . President of the Institute of Couriers Lord Falkland to open the gala bash at the Tower Gorman Hotel on June 19th. Courier Companies large and small in attendance from DHL & TNT through London firms such as Lewis Day, Reuter Brooks and MPC. Twenty shortlisters made the first cut, ex Transport minister David Jamieson in attendance. Yamaha showcasing their city scooter with word of a courier insurance deal. HAwk Kawasaki BSB bikes on display as well as Pink Express national superstock machines. Green issues covered by Vectrix who will have one of their new electric motorbikes at the event. This event will be inviting new members of the IoC from 2006 to join all fellows and other members for the auspicious occassion of the presentation of membership. All members are invited to attend the drinks reception held in the Chomondly Room and Terrace over looking the River Thames. Members are warmly invited to be joined by family and friends as guests.

The National Courier Awards, representing the inudustry through recognising and awarding individuals for their dedication, skill and abilities as a professional.The Minister for Transport Dr Stephen Ladyman will be in attendance alongside Viscount Falkland President and representatives from industry and courier transport associations.Tickets and for those who are late 'Late tickets' are available just call 0845 60 10 245.

Statistics of the courier industry.
Guest speaker: Leon Mannings, chairman of the BMF.

The speaker, Leon Mannings immediate past chairman of the BMF. His talk will highlight both his year as chairman and 'Statisic's and Politics' in the industry. The event sponsored by Camelot Courier Training will give the attendee's an opportunity to look into the past with the 'museum' of memorbelia for the courier industry at the venue.

Cost: £15 - which includes drinks and nibbles.

The first event in the IOC calendar promises to be a special one. This reception is to introduce the IOC and celebrate the unveiling of Royal Mail’s Classic Motorcycle stamp collection with a guest speaker from the organisation. The reception will conclude at 4:30pm. Business dress.
