Celebrating Fifteen years of the National Courier Awards. The date has been set and the scene is deja vu. The magnificant halls of the IoD, Pall Mall will offer a warm return to those who attend the courier industry event of the year. Individuals, the foundation of our industry, those who recognise and those who support the efforts made by those individuals who make the service a professional, efficient and customer focused delivery will be there.

Lord Mayor of London Banquet
The Lord Mayor of London has invited Carl Lomas Chairman IoC and leaders from the Sameday Courier Industry to attend the business luncheon at the annual Lord Mayors Banquet to be held in the Egyptian Hall at the Mansion House, London. IoC Fellows by invitation will be in attendance.

The House of Lords New Fellows Gowning.
The ultimate event of the year for all leaders in the Sameday Courier Industry was held at the House of Lords, Westminster on Thursday 9th December. A festive buffet with mulled wine was served in celebration for the 2010 new fellows to the Institute of Couriers. IoC President Viscount Falkland gowned Grant Cochrane FIoC TNT, Mike O'Connell FIoC DHL, Brian Wheadon FIoC Yodel, John Nolan FIoC UK Mail and John Fitzgearld TNT. Exsiting Fellows formed the 'Fellows Line' to shake hands and welcome all new Fellows to the Insititute of Couriers. Lords, Fellows, colleagues, friends and family of fellows celebrated together enjoying the festive christmas atmosphere that the Cholmondley room offered especially the terrace view looking out over the Thames to the South Bank. Master Carmen, Bob Russett former Chairman of the RHA alongwith Sir David Brewer former Lord Mayor of London were delighted to comment on the celebrations. Already waiting for the next Fellows gowning is National Courier Association Chairman Mr Phil Bridge, UK Express Leeds.
The Gowning Ceremony was held at the Cholmondeley Room and Terrace at the House of Lords, Westminster London. Thursday 9th December 2010. Official guides took most of the guests for a tour of both House of Commons and House of Lords.
In tradition of the IoC all existing Fellows attended wearing Hoods to form the 'Fellows line'.

The National Courier Awards 2010. The date for the next industry awards has been set for Tuesday September 14th, 2010. Viscount Falkland President of IoC will be welcoming guests and opening the evenings event. The venue is the Insitute of Directors, Pall Mall, London. Carl Lomas MBE Chairman of the IoC comments 'The IoC is proud to host the National Courier Awards but we are sensitive to the opinions of those professionals who work in the industry. Companies are being cautious and ensuring that all areas of the business are lean and cost efficient. Companies large and small want to apply their energies to the business in hand and the National Courier Awards will showcase the sucesses at the awards to be held in September 2010'.

National Courier Awards 2007 . President of the Institute of Couriers Lord Falkland to open the gala bash at the Tower Gorman Hotel on June 19th. Courier Companies large and small in attendance from DHL & TNT through London firms such as Lewis Day, Reuter Brooks and MPC. Twenty shortlisters made the first cut, ex Transport minister David Jamieson in attendance. Yamaha showcasing their city scooter with word of a courier insurance deal. HAwk Kawasaki BSB bikes on display as well as Pink Express national superstock machines. Green issues covered by Vectrix who will have one of their new electric motorbikes at the event. This event will be inviting new members of the IoC from 2006 to join all fellows and other members for the auspicious occassion of the presentation of membership.
