Trevor Hoyle - FedEx

Trevor Hoyle became a Fellow of the IoC after being recognized for the work he did for the FedEx and Brake Road Safety Academy. This was the largest corporate social responsibility initiative and it was led by Trevor Hoyle, FedEx UK Managing Director, Operations and Mary Williams, OBE, Chief Executive of Brake, FedEx pays for the operation of the academy, including the training of community volunteers (including FedEx staff) across a range of road safety modules, who then deploy their skills within their local communities. The academy is the first of its kind in the United Kingdom. Created to tap into the community’s growing awareness of road safety issues and to fill a gap in training and education options, the academy is very much an innovation in UK road safety.
