Fellow: Joe Sheehan

Director of Lewis Day Transport Medical Services

Joe Sheehan was educated at St Josephs De La Salle Catholic College and took his first job in Logistics in 1983 for a company called Roadrunners, Croydon. At that time if you had a keyboard problem IBM would send a courier out to replace.

After many years in the London Courier business with West 1, Joe developed an express national & international delivery system for the Investment Banking Industry and which was ultimately purchased by Royal Mail International but allowed for 2 years of travel and working in logistics in the US Europe & the Far East.

Joe returned to the London Market with Lewis Day and studied for his CPC and DGSA exams at the Freight Transport college in Tunbridge Wells. Moving 2 years ago over to managing Medical Couriers, Joe might be the only Fellow in London who regularly transports Nuclear Medicine!

Joe lives in London during the week and goes home to a small village just outside Rye in Sussex. He has been with his partner Karen, for 25 years and has two dogs Borage and Cheeky . Joe & karen enjoy gardening and hope they hope to open their garden to the public in next years national garden scheme.
